Looking back on the past year

Last year was the first year in a while where we hadn't had a lockdown and things were starting to get back to normal. At Grand Facilities Management Ltd we were proud going into the year knowing that we managed to go through the main part of the pandemic and come out with 2 awards for each year for contract cleaning!

With this motivation we continued into 2022 in high-spirits. Wanting to reach new heights and we did! During the first half of the year we managed to expand our reach in location and different clients. Catering for new clients and their new needs allowed us to improve our services. Allowing us to reach an amazing 100-mile radius!

As a family business based in Southampton for 40 years, we could never imagine working past London. It has taken us a long time to get to this point but glad we did not jump to this point as it allowed us to learn and gain loyal clients that have helped us along this journey.

There are a few factors that have helped us reach this point. Starting off with the driving force of Grand Facilities Management Ltd, the employees. Continuous reinvestment into better technology, whether it be our online presence that has proudly grown over the year or cleaning supplies to improve the quality of our service

This year we are hoping to keep up with the growth and are on-track to!

Grand Facilities Management Ltd Staff are now trained to use Powered access equipment. IPAF certificates held.

GFM Ltd staff have recently been busy learning on a course to be trained for the use on Mobile vertical and mobile boom powered accesses equipment.

This mean we can use equipment such as cherry pickers or scissors lifts to carry out all types of work at a height that might require these machines.

You might be thinking why do you need to have a IPAF Certificate.

Well you personally do not... But if you are hiring a contractor to do work on your sites with the use of one of these machines, its a good idea to check they hold one of these for your sites safety and theirs...

The IPAF Card or PAL (Powered Access License) is recognised as worldwide proof of platform operator training to the highest standard. They are issued by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) to platform operators who successfully complete their training.
